Infant Food Allergies and Cow's Milk Protein Elimination Diets: On a 2026 Article Published in the Journal of Human Lactation
Food allergies in infants, particularly in those who are exclusively breastfed, are a recurring theme in consultations, with elimination diets often undertaken in cases of "internal reflux" or "colic" noticed by parents. Frequently faced with contradictory information and inadequate support, mothers are often recommended prolonged elimination diets (particularly cow's milk protein elimination diets) or, failing that, premature weaning in favor of "special allergy" formulas.
