Lactasource
The source of information on breastfeeding
For healthcare and perinatal professionals
Our Mission

Lactasource offers informative articles and training for healthcare and perinatal professionals on breastfeeding.
You will also have access to a clinical practice discussion group (monthly meeting with Journal Club: critical analysis of the literature).
Our goal is to provide recent and up-to-date information, based on the latest scientific studies, on the topics of lactation, nutrition for the breastfeeding dyad, and infant sleep.
Notre
Vision
Evidence-based Lactation Care
In breastfeeding support, an evidence-based approach isn't simply about binge-reading scientific articles or frantically justifying choices by citing everything found on PubMed.
Today, it's relatively easy to defend almost any position by brandishing references.
This site won't be just another breastfeeding information portal, even though you'll find reliable and relevant data here.
Our ambition goes further: to create a space for critical, informed, and nuanced reflection, where the evidence-based approach doesn't stop at citing studies, but also incorporates:
-
a logical and rigorous analysis of the arguments
-
an assessment of the level of trust to place in each source,
-
an understanding of the French and international scientific context,
and above all,
-
ethical reflection on the reasoning presented.
It's about learning to question, to doubt, to evolve, to recognize that sometimes... we don't know.
Because exercising discernment also means cultivating humility in the face of reality's complexity.
Here, you will find knowledge, skills, and also ways of being.
With a single guiding principle: to think better, in order to provide more discerning support.
